Dan Lutz learned to drive at the Oklahoma Center for Rehabilitative Driving Services. Upon Dan's death, the driving program was renamed to The Dan Lutz Rehabilitative Driving Services. The Dan Lutz Rehabilitative Driving Services, L.L.C., is now a privately owned driving program housed on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond, Oklahoma. The program offers driver training, assessment, and evaluation services. Over 2,300 individuals with disabilities have been taught to drive since the program's inception 35 years ago.

Undoubtedly the most valuable asset for the program is its director, John McGivern. John has been involved with the program for 25 years and is an expert in his field. He is considered not only the best driving instructor for this speciality in the state, but the best in this region of the country, as well.

Many of the people assisted by the Dan Lutz Rehabilitation Fund are students of this driving program which Dan credited for helping him gain his independence.

The Dan Lutz Rehabilitative Driving Services has many success stories - Dan being just one of them. Over the last ten years, the program proudly reports that 95% of all graduates go on to receive their driver's licenses. These individuals with disabilities would otherwise rely on others for transportation, but through this program, they gain independence, employment, and enhance their self-esteem.
